Chislehurst Golf Club

Visitor Information

Chislehurst Golf Club welcomes visitors and guests.

Our magnificent clubhouse affords sumptuous surroundings for lunch, afternoon tea or just for a drink on the terrace or in one of our lounges.

Guests are welcome at all times when accompanied by a member or by prior arrangement with the Club Office.  Individual golfers and societies wishing to play our course may do so by prior arrangement. All visitors and guests of members must sign in with the Pro Shop prior to playing.

We organise a number of events throughout the year that are open to the public, so please keep an eye out for further details.

Chislehurst Golf Club also makes an excellent venue for your special celebration or event.

Clubhouse

The jewel in Chislehurst Golf Club’s crown is its magnificent clubhouse, Camden Place, which was built around 1717 and was, for a while during the 1870s, the home of Napoleon III, the Empress Eugenie and their son the Prince Imperial.  It is a peaceful and comfortable place for a friendly drink or lunchtime snack, with the Jubilee Terrace being particularly popular on a warm summer’s evening.

Course

Chislehurst Golf Club, founded in 1894, has an 18 hole course situated within 70 acres of beautiful parkland in the heart of Chislehurst, only 11 miles south east of Central London.  The course is a truly demanding test of accuracy rather than length, and will challenge golfers of all abilities, consistent with the design influences of the great Harry S Colt.

Opening Times

The Club Office is staffed between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Sunday.

The Faber Bar is open 7 days a week (except Christmas Day & Boxing Day) from 7.45am until 10:00pm in the summer and 8:00pm in the winter months.

Members have access to the clubhouse and locker rooms from 7am until the bars close each evening.

If you are planning to visit us (particularly during the winter months), it is always worth calling the Members' Bar on 020 8467 3055 to confirm bar and catering times.

Access

The Club has automatic gates at the entrance to our car park, along with CCTV cameras and street lighting with the aim of improving the security of our members, the house and grounds.

Instructions for using the gates are as follows:

DRIVERS:  The gates are set to open automatically for entry, but you will require a code to exit.

The width of the gates does not allow two vehicles to pass, so please be careful to respect others and give way as appropriate.

On ENTRY, stop short of the gates, just on the new tarmac, and wait for them to open fully away from you before entering

PLEASE REMEMBER TO COLLECT THE GATE EXIT CODE FROM THE OFFICE BEFORE LEAVING!

On EXIT, stop your vehicle next to the keypad and enter the Exit Code provided by the Office, followed by ENTER.

The gates will then open towards you.

PEDESTRIANS:  The side gate remains unlocked and is available for use by pedestrians.  The gate is heavily sprung, so take care.

Note that the intercom links with the Club Office and will be answered during office hours.
