I was born and raised in Swansea. When I was young I played a lot of sports particularly rugby and cricket. After University I moved to London to work and settled in South East London with my wife, Jan. Our 3 children were all born here. I worked as a tax consultant and was a partner in Ernst & Young for 11 years and then PwC for a further 12 years before retiring in 2021. We moved to Chislehurst in 2003 and within a month I had joined CGC, subsequently being joined by Jan, our two sons Matthew and Owen and our son-in-law Will. I have been a board member of the club since 2022 and have played regularly for the Vets’ League team for the last 4 years.
I am excited and honoured to be appointed as Club captain for the coming year and I am looking forward to a lot of fun for everyone on and off the golf course.
I was born in Dublin, Ireland, into a very large golfing, rugby family. Both my mother and father were captains of their golf clubs in Dublin.
I came to the Bromley area in 1989 and trained as a nurse within the NHS trust. Not long after starting my training I met my now husband, Sandy. His career took us to many countries, and we lived in The Netherlands and in Australia for some years.
Together we have two sons and eventually we came back to settle in Chislehurst 23 years ago. My husband then joined the golf club followed by our boys and nine years ago I took the plunge.
I am so excited to serve CGC as Lady Captain and will endeavour for us all to have a fun, inclusive and relaxed year on and off the course.
